Obituary

It is with regret that we announce the passing Mrs. Nelladean Hambrick, age 87, of Fayetteville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery beside her husband, Thomas Edward Hambrick. Visitation with the family will be from 1 pm to 3 pm on Saturday at Higgins.

Mrs. Hambrick was born December 1, 1934, in Guntersville, AL to the late Gordon Henry and Mittie Lou Dunn Whisenant. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith. Nelladean loved square dancing. She passed away February 23, 2022, at Elk River Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include her daughters, Connie (Don) Gray, Brenda Dugger, and Fonda Howard; grandchildren, Brandon Gray, Alicia (Brandon) Marberry, Bridget Brick, Justin Howard, Josh Howard, Misty (Harold) Balch, Brandy (Trevor) Harrison; great-grandchildren, Brock (Miranda) Mann and Easton Mann, Cameron and Dallas Marberry, and Mackenzie and Mikalah Harrison; and one great- great-granddaughter, Scarlett Mann. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Gene Fite; son, Rickie Fite and his wife Billie Jo Fite; and siblings, Gordon Coolage Whisenant, Rebecca Sovola Whisnenant Hayes, Vonola W. Osborn, Truvella W. Laten Tarpley, and Henry “Sunny” Porter Whisenant.
