It is with regret we announce the death of Michael Stacy Porter age 59 of Fayetteville. Mr. Porter passed away Wednesday morning August 19, 2015 at Fayetteville Care and Rehab Center. He was a native of Fort Sill, OK and the son of the Donald and Nina Moss Porter who survive. Mr. Porter worked as an electrician’s helper his last 2 years of high school and 1 year following high school. He then became a journeyman electrician after passing the state board exam. During his career he did the major wiring for companies such as Dell Computers, IBM and several other large companies. He also wired the new Austin Airport and Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX, also the Texas A&M Health Science Center and S&W Temple. He was an accomplished hunter, trapper and fisherman, having hunted and fished most all streams, rivers and coastline of Texas. He was also an excellent baseball player until he injured his knees in Germany. Mike will be sadly missed and forever loved by his family and dear friends.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his son Jeremy Porter of TX and brother Ronald (Debbie) Porter of Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by a brother Steven Dale Porter.

There will be no visitation or services.
