Funeral service for Mattie McPherson, age 95, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Abernathy officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Mattie was born on December 30, 1928, in Moore County, TN, to the late Arthur and Mary Lewis. She attended Northside Church of Christ and enjoyed flowers and talking to her friends who called her Momma. Mattie passed away on June 10, 2024, at her home.

Survivors include her son, Jerry McPherson of Fayetteville; daughter, Diane (Mike) Young of Fayetteville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
