We regret to announce the passing of Mary Louise Lange Danner, age 86, of Fayetteville, TN. She was born on September 1, 1938, in Los Angeles, CA, to the late Robert William Lange, Sr., and Bernadine Ferguson Lange. MaryLou passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at Monark Grove Madison in Alabama.
MaryLou was a kind-hearted woman with a genuine and compassionate spirit. She dedicated 30 years to teaching elementary school, a profession she deeply loved. As the wife of a minister, she was actively involved in her church community, serving as choir director and organist at St. John Presbyterian Church for many years. She also devoted countless hours visiting the sick and those in nursing homes, offering comfort and companionship. She found great joy in walking along the beach, collecting shells, and sharing heartfelt letters and cards with family and friends. Above all, she cherished time spent playing games with her grandson, Ty. An avid walker and hiker, she remained active until her health no longer allowed. MaryLou’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones and community will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Danner, Adam Danner and wife Tiffani; her grandson, Ty Shelton Danner; and several extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Danner was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles Eugene Danner; and her brother, Robert William Lange, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church of Huntsville. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the church on Sunday. A private burial will take place at Stewart Cemetery.

Mark and Adam I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved mother. She was a dear friend and colleague of mine for many years. Such a kind and giving person she was. I kept and cherish many of the notes she wrote to me over the years. We shared many good days working with the children at Eighth District. Mary Lou was loved by the entire faculty. She and Charles raised you to be such fine young men and they were so proud of you. She lives on in the hearts of all she touched. Hugs to you both.
Adam,
I am saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. Seems like yesterday we were kids talking about each other’s mothers. Life is too fast and there are not enough years to share with our mom’s. Although I will be at another funeral on Sunday, you will be in my thoughts and prayers, not only you but your whole family.
I’m so very sorry for your loss.
We send our sympathy to Mark & Adam and family with the loss of your mother. We enjoyed knowing her at St. John many years ago. Mary Lou was a talented and kind lady. You will be in our thoughts as we recall sweet memories.
