Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Louise Davis, age 91, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday July 28, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery beside her husband Ernest D. Davis who passed away in 1983. Mrs Davis passed away Saturday July 25, 2015 in Lincoln Medical Center.
A native of Jackson County, AL. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Irean Knoah Shores, a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis enjoyed playing rook, rummy, kismet and loved watching the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include her daughters Linda Davis of Huntland, Nancy (Terry) Price of Fayetteville, sons Ray Davis of Fayetteville, Jim (Anis) Davis of Flintville; grandchildren Anthony Davis, Aaron (Courtney) Moorehead, Austin Wade Reynolds, Gary Wayne (Betsy) Reynolds, Patricia Reynolds, Michael (Kelly) Davis, Nikki (Anthony) Jones, and Whitney (Clay) Davis Gill; great-grandchildren Arieal Davis, Samantha Davis, Makenzie Moorehead, Colton Moorehead, Hayden Moorehead, Logan Davis, Mady Davis, Charlise Jones, Clay Jones, Alexendria Reynolds; and a sister Bethel Syler. In additional to her parents and husband, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by an infant daughter Wanda Sue Davis, three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 27 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
