Graveside service for Mary Loretta Walker, age 93, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Smiths Chapel Cemetery in Moore County, TN with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. There will be no visitation with the family prior to the service.

Loretta was born May 21, 1930, in Lincoln County, TN to the late George Thomas Miller and Martha Hester Martin Lane. As a child she loved to play games with her sisters, especially marbles on a board their father made. Loretta moved to Florida as a teenager and worked as a packer for Indian River Fruit Company. She was a hard worker and an excellent cook, and she loved to crochet, ceramics, and flowers. Loretta passed away December 8, 2023, at Elk River Health and Rehab in Fayetteville.

Survivors include her daughters, Janice and Kathy; sisters, Katherine Blackburn and Peggy Noblitt; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her sons, George Michael and Johnny Thompson; and sisters, Bobbie White, Jane Pace, and Ruby D. Cease.
