Memorial services for Mrs. Mary Lane Conger, age 91, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Sunday August 23rd at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Ward officiating.  Mrs. Conger passed away Thursday August 13th.

She was a native of Shelbyville and long time resident of Fayetteville. She was the daughter of the late Jake Thomas and Grace Howard Lane.  Mrs. Conger was a retired school teacher and a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son John Beall Conger Jr. and wife Jane of Fayetteville, daughter Malinda Conger Gilbert and husband Doug Gilbert of Nashville, four grandchildren Claire Fyke Purcell and husband Richard of Nashville, John B. Conger III of Birmingham, AL, Robert Conger and wife Natalie of Huntsville, AL and Lane Conger of Chicago, ILL and one great grandchild Kasey Layne Purcell.

It was Mrs. Conger’s request that memorials be made to the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
