Mary “Teen” Hardin nee Copeland, 87, of Blue Island, IL, formerly of Flintville, TN, passed from this life Friday, November 26, 2021.

Mary was born April 4, 1934, in Flintville to the late Daisy nee Daniel and Ernest Wilson Copeland. She devoted her life to her family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren. Mary was an avid reader, a major Chicago Cubs fan, and enjoyed the artwork of Thomas Kincaid and Claude Monet. She cherished the quote: Live…Laugh…Love and spent her days using those special words as her guide.

Mary was the beloved wife of Ernest Glen Hardin; the couple were united in marriage for seventy years! She is the loving mother of Sherry Fleming and Michael (Veronica) Hardin. Mary is the cherished grandmother of Brian (Elaine) Woods, Ross (Linda) Fleming, the late Matthew Fleming, Teegan Hardin, Ryan Hardin and Rylee Hardin. She is the adored great-grandmother of Samantha Woods, Nicholas Woods, Ivan Cabrales, Bella Cuellar and Asiias Fleming and the proud great-great-grandmother of Ella. Mary is the dear sister of Linda Counts and Connie Tunstill. She leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 11 am at Higgins Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Elora Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Higgins.
