Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Ables Beddingfield age 78, of Fayetteville will be conducted Sunday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery. Mrs Beddingfield passed away Thursday morning in Huntsville Hospital.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Lucy Naomi Fanning Ables, retired from Serbin and also worked at Eagle Snacks , and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons Tony Beddingfield and wife Zerita, Sandy Beddingfield and wife Donna, Jeff Beddingfield and wife Connie, and Tracy Beddingfield all of Fayetteville, grandchildren Nicole Parker, Melanie Beddingfield, Matthew Beddingfield, and Teela Beddingfield , great-grand children Brett, Katelyn, and Nyla Parker, sisters Kay Frances Stewart of Winchester and Shirley Peay of Detroit, MI, brothers Tom Allen Ables of Fayetteville, Doug Ables of Akron, OH and Jerry Lynn Ables of Fayetteville, Mrs. Beddingfield was preceded in death by her husband George Elmo Beddingfield Jr. and son Rocky Lee Beddingfield.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from noon till time of service at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
