Obituary

Graveside service for Mary Elizabeth Smith Rowell, age 88 of Fayetteville, TN will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 1 pm at Riverview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Philip Bunch officiating.

Mary was born January 30, 1933, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Stacy C. and Mary Alberta McAllister Smith. She had a lifelong love of gardening, sewing, and cooking. Mary was a seamstress at Blue Ridge Shirt Plant and attended Fayetteville ARP Church. She passed away November 7, 2021.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sherri Rowell of Murfreesboro; nephew, James Williams of Loganville, GA; great-nieces, Anna and Jenna Williams; and great-nephew, Austin Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Rowell; and sister, Anna Jean Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fayetteville-Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 1718 Pulaski Hwy, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
