Obituary

Funeral services for Mary Bell Bryant, age 89 of Kelso, will be conducted Saturday at 11 AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Winfred Stayton officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery beside her husband W. R. Bryant, Jr. Mrs. Bryant passed away Wednesday night in Lincoln Care Center.

A native of Madison County, AL and the daughter of the late Richard and Cora Britton Edwards. Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and a member of the Gum Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son Danny Bryant and wife Patricia, grandsons Ricky Bryant and wife Cindy, Jeffrey Bryant and wife Linda, granddaughter Tammy Bryant, great-grandsons Brandon Bryant, Danny Thomas Bryant, Richard Bryant and Will Bryant, great-granddaughters Gabriel and Amber Bryant, brothers Willie Edwards and Gordon Edwards and wife Jo, sister-in-law Nell Edwards, many nieces and nephews and two special friends Jean Simmons and Margaret Hall.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by a son Jerry Dean Bryant.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or the Lincoln Medical Hospice.
