Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Marvin Lawrence Bailey age 75, of Shelbyville formely of Fayetteville, will be conducted Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Bates, Bill Sloan and Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Stewarts Cemetery. Mr. Bailey passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 Christian Care Center in Bedford County.

Mr. Bailey was a native of Rutherford County, TN, the son of the late Carman and Eunice Ready Bailey. He was a chain saw and lawn mower mechanic and was a charter member of the Living Water Church.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte Grammer Bailey, children Bobby (Laura) Bailey, Tabitha (Todd) Branch, Jamie (Robin) Bailey, siblings JC Bailey, Ann Walls, JW Bailey, Betty Lykins, 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by sister Jean Murphy and 3 grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

    I remember going to church with marvin and his family. He was an honorable christian man and ms charlotte a great woman of god he did all my chainaw and lawn mower work he was a good one and he will be sorely missed RIP my friend im surebour God jehovah has greeted you as a friend
