Funeral service for Mrs. Martha Mae Roland Marshall, age 84, of Petersburg, TN will be conducted at 10 AM on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. James Strope officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery next to her husband, William Patrick Marshall.
Martha was born on March 9, 1935 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Elvin and Ethel Moore Roland. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and crocheting. She was known for her world famous peanut brittle. Mrs. Marshall passed away on June 24, 2019 at her residence.
Survivors include her daughters, Louise McAbee of Fayetteville, TN, Linda Young of Petersburg, TN, Teresa Fullerton of Petersburg, TN, and Carol (Mike) Francis of Woodbury, TN; sisters, Maurine Ables, Hazel Lamb, Glinda Frazier, Hollis (Tony) Smith, Judy (Jerry) Pittenger, and Pauline (Jerry) Moorehead; one brother; grandchildren, Kyle McAbee, Jeremiah Griffin, Patrick Griffin, Jared Fullerton, Adam (Megan) Fullerton, Jennifer (Tim) Stanley, and Kasondra (Will) Vaughn; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Betty Monks. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Clay Francis.
Visitation with the family will be held at 5 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home.
