Funeral services for Martha Elizabeth Brooks Bradford, age 92, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband of 64 years, Raymond Bradford. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 1 pm until 3 pm at Higgins.
Martha was born October 7, 1930, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Eulah Harrison and Mary Routt Brooks. She retired as an order processor for Genesco and was a member of Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Martha enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening, and she liked to watch golf and UT Football games. She passed away October 21, 2022, at Lincoln Manor in Fayetteville.
Survivors include her son, William Harrison Bradford of Box Elder, SD; daughter, Betty Bradford Groce of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Susan (Brandon) Newnam, Becky (J.J.) Mahon, Heather (Thom) Leslie, Audrey (James) King, Todd Groce, and Tyler Bradford; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy Taylor (Ruth) Brooks, Lawrence Brooks; sister-in-law, Faye Brooks; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bradford; daughter, Barbara Bradford Groce; son-in-law, Rodney Groce; and siblings, Wilson “Bo” Brooks, Johnny Brooks, and Ruth Robinson.

A great lady that I loved very much who was also a great cook. Peepaw and I would be working on a project in his shop and decide to stop and go golfing. Upon our return she would “fuss” at us a bit, but have a delicious meal prepared for us.

I loved ms .bradford she was my favorite resident at Lincoln mannor im so shocked and I cant believe this happened I was just talking to her last week.
