Funeral service for Mrs. Marine R. Smith, age 90, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery. Mrs. Smith passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Moore County, TN, living many years in Lewisburg and Fayetteville, was the daughter of the late Willy Gray and Elizabeth Odell Petty Reese. She was a machine operator at the Blue Ridge Shirt Manufacturing Company and she enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her daughter Janice (O.C.) Jean of Fayetteville, sons Jerome (Rita) Smith of Fayetteville, Ronnie Smith of Huntsville, AL, grandchildren Gina Lee, Penny Lampley, Jamie Jean, Cody Jean and 5 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Elwood Smith and several siblings.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 1 until 3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
