Funeral services for Marilyn Doris Krause Hecht, age 84 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 12:00 pm. at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Bernard Ansorge officiating. Burial will follow in Medium Cemetery. Mrs. Hecht passed away Monday April 6, 2015, at Donalson Care Center.
A native of Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Hecht was the daughter of the late John William and Anne Mary Sneyd Krause. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Huntsville, AL. Mrs. Hecht was a gardener, an artist, photographer, seamstress and loved to travel.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years Alfred Herman Hecht of Fayetteville, two daughters Laurel Galloway of Petersburg, TN, Kristin (Tim) Vordenbaum of Auburn, AL, two sons Stephen Hecht of Huntsville, AL, John (Lisa) Hecht of Pearl River, LA, grandchildren Hope (Daniel) Green, Autumn Galloway, Jacob Galloway, Audrey Vordenbaum, Meagan Vordenbaum, Trevor Vordenbaum, Hayley Vordenbaum, John Alfred Hecht, Jr., Bobby Scott Bell and Jessica (Andrew) Joyner, great-grandchildren Kennedy Green and Mattie Joyner, sister Margaret Krause Harding of Hixon, TN and one brother John William (Sue) Krause, Jr. of Ooltewah, TN.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday April 11, 2015 from 10 am. until 12:00 pm. at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
