My sincere sympathy to the Eakin family. I didn’t know Mrs. Marie but had to write to tell you that your Mother/Grandmother Mrs. Dennis Eakin of Petersburg was my piano teacher at Boonshill School circa 1960-62. I remember her as a jolly plump lady with a warm personality that was radiant with enthusiasm about music & what she could do to inspire us children to practice & do our best under her leadership. She also worked tirelessly with the chorus & small band ensemble. Also, in the community she was admired by those that attended the many horse shows in the area.
She was the talented organist that created & choreographed the lively music that set the pace for such an exciting event. You surely must be proud of your family & the strong women who were a prime example living their lives to the fullest. May God Bless you all.

My condolences go to the family and friends. It is never easy to cope with the loss of a loved one, but God does offer hope at Revelations 21:3,4! There it says that death will be no more, tears will be wiped away from our eyes. Imagine what a wonderful time this will be! I hope this message leaves you with comfort in the times to come.

Marie was a sweet lady. I have known her all my life. I sat on the front porch with Mr and Mrs Collins, Marie and Margaret when they lived on Green St. I was about 5 yrs old. They were so sweet to me. Marie and I always talked when we would see each other in town. I am sorry for your loss, no matter how old someone is we always hate to loose them. God Bless your family.
