Obituary

Graveside funeral service for Margaret Louise Campbell, age 76, of Elora, TN, will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Mt. Garner Cemetery in Decherd, TN. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Margaret was born on October 21, 1945, in Lincoln County, TN to the late R.P. Williams and Lena Mae Owens Williams. She worked as a seamstress with Allegany Clothing in Huntland, TN and Stewman Fashions in Elora. Ms. Campbell was a member of the Elora Baptist Church. She enjoyed word search books and feeding the birds and squirrels. Margaret passed away on March 4, 2022, at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville, TN.

Survivors include her children, Tammye (Ernest) Steeves of Maine, Anthony “Tony” (Sheryl) Campbell of Flintville, TN, and Mickey (Brenda) Campbell of Winchester, TN; grandchildren, Jessica (Gary) Payne, Victoria Campbell, Rylee Campbell, Matthew Campbell, Jonathan (Faith) Campbell, Justin (Sarah Beth) Stallings, and Blake Fanning (fiancé Jennifer Willis); great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Smith, Carson Payne, Hudson Payne, Charlee Stallings, and Lillian Rose Campbell. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her grandson, Dennis James “Jamie” Bass, II; and brothers, Leon Williams, Loyd Ray Williams, Homer Williams, and Wayne Williams.

    Margaret has been my neighbor for over thirty years. It is such an honor to have known this wonderful woman. She is someone I am lucky to call my friend. My deepest sympathy to her three children and her entire family. She will be dearly missed.
