Funeral service for Ms. Lucille Maynard Jordan, age 87, of Elora, TN will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Doud officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Lucille was born on July 20, 1933 in Lincoln County, TN to the late, Ernest Woodson and Rosie Mae Pruitt Maynard. She made a career out of caring for her family. Lucille enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She was of the Holiness faith. Lucille passed away at her home on February 6, 2021.

Lucille is survived by her children, Evie Doud, Violet (Don) Bankston, Chris Langford, Danny (Kathering) Slayton, and Rickey (Lora) Slayton; twenty-one grandchilren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton David Jordan; son, Lanny Slayton; daughter, Iva Dean Slayton; grandson, Vincent Gulley; and siblings, Eugene Maynard, Arthur Maynard, David Maynard, and Larry Maynard.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Ms. Lucille Maynard Jordan.
