Obituary

Funeral service for Louise Self, age 75 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday afternoon at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Garden. Mrs. Self passed away Thursday in Huntsville Hospital.

Mrs. Self was a native of Hamilton County, TN and the daughter of the late Frank J. and Hattie Caraway White. She was a former employee of Serbin Fashions, manager of snack bar at Walmart and was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church. She was active in the Family Support Group of the Fayetteville Unit of the Tennessee National Guard, volunteer at Ralph Askins School, and was an assistant Girl Scout Leader.

She is survived by her husband Lonnie L. Self of Fayetteville, daughter Debra Self Smith of Fayetteville, son Joseph W. (Keran L) Self of Fayetteville, special niece Sherry Self Parks of Fayetteville, sister Toots Reavis, grandchildren Jason (Nicki) Self, Jessica Self King, Kimberly (Eddie) Mills, Ben (Amanda) Smith, Keith Smith, 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Warner White, sister Dorothy Creson and grandson Steven Self.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening 6-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
