Funeral service for Mr. Lewis E. Forrester, age 92, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Fayetteville First Baptist Church with Dr. Jon Hathcock and Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Forrester passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Donalson Care Center.
Mr. Forrester was a native of Lincoln County, TN, the son of the late William Alexander and Annie Lou Hale Forrester. He was a freight handler and machine operator for Amana and a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter Phyllis Counts of Fayetteville, TN, grandchildren Natalie Counts of Chattanooga, TN, Shelby (Morgan) Dorn of Fayetteville, TN, great grandchildren Taylor Dorn, Grayson Dorn both of Fayetteville, TN, niece Janice Moore (Brent) Gregory of Shelbyville, TN and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Slayton Forrester and sister Wilma F. Moore.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fayetteville First Baptist Church building fund.
