Obituary

Funeral services for Lee R. Marrs, age 78 of Lynchburg, will be conducted Thursday at 11 AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Beal officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery beside the love of his life his wife Lorene King Marrs. Mr. Marrs passed away Monday night in Harton Hospital.

A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Marrs was the son of the late Floyd A. and Idella George Marrs, and a retired overhead crane operator for Youngstown Sheet and Tube Steel Mill in E. Chicago, IN. A resident of Lynchburg, TN, he was an active participant at multiple senior citizen centers.

Survivors include two children Connie Beal and husband Robert and Dan Marrs and wife KellyRae, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sisters Avis Luttrell, Inez Hulsey and Elizabeth Burcham and husband Dewey all of Lincoln County, Mary Ruth May and husband Ernest of Franklin County, brothers Jimmy Marrs and wife Linda of Lincoln County, Junior Marrs and wife Marie of New Market, AL and a large number of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by sister Rachel Steel and brother Isaac Marrs.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
