Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Laverne Peck, age 90 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband Jack Lewis Peck who passed away in 2000. Mrs. Peck passed away Sunday morning March 15, 2015 in Donalson Care Center.
A native of Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Mattie Lee Lambert. She worked as the Human Resources Insurance Clerk for Amana and was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters Diane Peck of Huntsville, AL, Connie (David) Bowers of Gardendale, AL, nephews Andy Peck, Jeff Peck, niece Linda Bracey, special friends Mary Ann Chapman, Nita Honey, Dean Shelton and Bea Ashby. Along with her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by her son Paul Lewis Peck.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Fayetteville Lincoln County Humane Society.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

    I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I see the resemblance between you and her, and if she was anything like you (although I didn’t know her) I’m sure she was a wonderful lady. I’ve been praying for you. Now your mother is At Home, and both of you can rest.
