Kenneth Robinson Collins, 87, of Flintville, TN passed away February 17, 2008. He was born July 16, 1920 in Newport, Kentucky. Kenny resided in Flintville for ten years and in Las Vegas, NV for 30 years. He also lived in Denison, TX and Arkansas Pass, TX for several years. He was a police officer in Newport, KY for 13 years and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his brother William Collins and grandson Travis Martin both of Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by his wife Irma Meyer Collins of Flintville, sons Kenneth (Wendy) of Hixson, TN, Garry (Chiao) Martin of Las Vegas, NV, and step-daughter Constance (Donald) Presbrey of Flintville, sister Mary Jane Caudill of Ft. Thomas, KY, sister-in-law Waneda Collins of Las Vegas, NV, nieces Roberta (William) Jones of Burlington, KY, Carol (Daniel) Points of Villa Hills, KY, Nancy Pierce of Florence, KY, and Sherrie Simmer of Las Vegas, NV, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Internment will take place at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday.
