Obituary

Graveside service for Katherine Louise Metcalf, age 45 of Toney, AL, formerly of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday at 11 am at Prosperity Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Metcalf passed away Wednesday evening in Huntsville Hospital.

She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Alvin and Mayzola Cowan Moore and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her friend Larry Joe Elledge, son Josh Moore, daughter Tasha Moore all of Toney, AL, son Anthony Metcalf, Jr. of Fayetteville, two sisters Sherry Cowan of Athens, AL, Bessie Hopkins of New Market, AL, six grandchildren and three nieces.

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 9-10:30 am at Higgins Funeral Home.

    dear louise’s family sorry for your loss louise was kind and a good friend to my children in growing up in elmwood terrace there james and jody whitaker and willie their sister i’m sure they made walks to school together and to the family the loss is very hard to lose a sister,mother,and a friend. we are thinking of you in this sad time made god be beside you.
