Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Julia Ann Parker, age 88, of Frankewing, TN, will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Wright’s Cemetery next to her husband, William “Billy” Parker. Visitation with the family will be held at 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM on Wednesday at Higgins.

Julia was born on January 23, 1931 in Giles County, TN to the late Edgar and Annie Watson Harwell. She graduated from Beech Hill High School and attended McBurg United Methodist Church where she was one of the Sunshine Ladies. Julia enjoyed canning tomatoes and gardening and loved her grandkids. Mrs. Parker passed away on November 4, 2019 at Lincoln Medical Center.

Survivors include her sons, Jeff (Betty) Parker and Mike (Kaye) Parker all of Frankewing, TN; grandchildren, Anitta Forbes, Heather (Michael) Sullivan, Crystal Parker, and Hollie (Scott) Monks; and great-grandchildren, Autumn Sullivan, Corbin Parker, Dallas Sullivan, Maddex Parker, Tori Forbes, and Brandon Forbes. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Doyle Parker; one grandson, Curtis Parker; and 11 siblings.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the McBurg United Methodist Church, 91 McBurg Road, Frankewing, TN 38459.
