Obituary

Funeral service for Juanita Burns Mitchell, age 89 of Frankewing will be conducted Friday May 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Monty Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Wrights Cemetery beside her husband Otis B. Mitchell who passed away in 1981. Mrs. Mitchell passed away Tuesday April 28, 2015 at Lincoln Medical Center.
She was born in Decatur, AL and was the daughter of the late Garland and Iva Robinson Burns. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and a member of the McBurg Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie (Jean) Mitchell of McBurg and Roger (Brenda) Mitchell of Dellrose, two sisters Martha Mitchell and Naomi (Bobby Joe) Durham, two brothers James and Wade Burns, son-in-law A J Williams, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda Mitchell
Williams, son Gary Paul Mitchell and grandson Danny Williams.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening April 30, 2015 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

    Loved this lady! I can still see her out working in yard up till she got sick and say i only hope i can be like that when im her age! Prayers to all the family!
