Joyce Ready Langford, age 81, born September 19, 1934 died February 27, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. She was a native of Lincoln County, Tennessee, born in Fayetteville. A member of the Boonshill Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ronnie C. Langford, son Robert “Bobby” Ready Holt, and parents Horace and Doris Ready. She is survived by daughters Lisa Gilbert and husband Bob of Houston, Texas., son James Holt and daughter-in-law Laura of Estill Springs, Tn., and daughter Catherine Holt of Dallas, Tx. Four grandchildren, Stephanie Gilbert, Ryan Holt, Christopher Holt and Kelly Holt. Three great grandchildren, Max Robert Gilbert, Madelyn Grace Holt and Averly Jane Holt. Half-brother Tom Anderson and wife Valerie, nephew Chris Anderson and wife Kristen and two great nieces Arden and Ava Anderson. She considered Paul Gilbert and wife Suzanne her grandchildren as well and their children Cody and Brittani as her great grandchildren and Blake as a great great grandchild. She is also survived by many very dear friends, some she has known since childhood as with Darwyn Davis .
Joyce and Ronnie lived for many years in Houston, Texas and retired to Florida. After her devoted husband’s death, Joyce moved home to Tennessee to be close to family and friends. In the past year she made a move back to Texas to live in Dallas. She and Ronnie had a great love for travel and visited may countries around the world. She continued to travel after his death. Ireland was by far her favorite which she visited many times, the last being for her 80th birthday. She made this trip following a family and friends celebration of that special birthday in Texas.
She will be deeply missed by all her who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held at Higgins Funeral Home, 213 East Market St., Fayetteville, Tn., Visitation will be held Friday, March 4th at 5:00 pm. Funeral service is Saturday, March 5th at 2:00 pm with a graveside service to follow. Rev. Ray Gardner will be officiating.
Mama, we miss you so terribly! St. Patrick’s Day was just not the same without you. Trust me, we ate enough corned beef and cabbage for all of us! We love you,

Knew Joyce well when in high school. She graduated in 1952 and I graduated a year following in 1953. It has been a long time since seeing each other but still have memories.
