Funeral services for Josephine Henderson Smartt Jennings, age 90, of Athens, AL, formerly of Fayetteville will be conducted Saturday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Don Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery beside her first husband Wiley Smartt Jr. who passed away in 1978. Mrs. Jennings passed away Thursday morning in Huntsville Hospital.

A native of Lincoln County she was the daughter of the late Oaklus and Gertrude Quick Henderson. Mrs. Jennings was a former employee of Serbin Fashions, a homemaker and a member of the Harvest Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter Nancy (Robert) Keiter of Athens, AL, son Stanley (Carol) Smartt of Flintville, grandchild Barry (Tammy) Smartt of Flintville and great grandchild Cole Smartt.

Visitation with the family will be Friday 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
