Memorial services for Johnny Wade Dempsey, age 55 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday August 2, 2015 at 2PM at the Maranatha Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Nichols and Bro. Joe Self officiating. Mr. Dempsey passed away Thursday July 30, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital.
A native of Lincoln County he was the son of the late F. E. and Eleanor Jordan Dempsey and was a disabled truck driver.
Survivors include three sons Jeremy and Brandon Dempsey of Texas, Jason Dempsey of Fayetteville and step-son Samuel Sledge of Tony, AL, five brothers James Douglas (Carolyn) Dempsey of Petersburg, David (Joan) Dempsey of Vanntown, Steve (Dolly) Dempsey of Lynchburg, Paul (Debbie) Dempsey of Fayetteville and Mark (Paula) Dempsey of Fayetteville, five grandchildren, nieces and nephew, sister-in-law Gail Dempsey of Fayetteville and very special friend Joe Speck. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Thomas J. Dempsey, sister Effie Jean Dempsey, nephews Jeff and Timmy Dempsey.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday August 2, 2015 from 1PM -2 PM at the church.
