Randy was born October 20, 1950, in Lincoln County, TN to the late James William and Sara Virginia Ramsey Tallman. He graduated from Central High School in Fayetteville and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Known by many as “Red,” he owned and operated The Squire Shop on the Fayetteville Square for many years with his brother-in-law, Eddie Sullivan. Later he worked for several years in sales with Askins Publishing. Randy loved sports. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed countless hours playing and watching the game. He coached his son in baseball, and as a grandfather he could be found at every game or dance recital watching the grandchildren. Randy loved his church family at Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and served for several years as deacon. However, his favorite thing was Sunday afternoons spent with family. Randy passed away May 9, 2024, at HH Lincoln Health in Fayetteville.
Survivors include his son, Nolan Tallman and wife Chanda; daughter, Martha Tallman and husband Dan McCarthy; grandchildren, Will, Owen, and Bea Tallman; sister-in-law, Faye Tallman; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Tallman; sister, Gayle Sullivan; and brother-in-law, Eddie Sullivan.

This is Karen Bee Towry Townsend. Randy was a close friend of my late husband, Brady Towry and he was my good friend too! Nolan and Martha were born when our daughter Audra was 1 and 3 years old! I cherish the memories of our lives with Randy and Linda and our children! We were so close starting with Linda being my best friend and good friend of Brady’s! I wish we could have kept life febrnts that broke those bonds! Brady died in 1986, Eddie Sullivan and Randy and my close friend a few years later! I loved Randy as did Brady, with all of our hearts! Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives❣️
