Graveside service for John J. Ayers, age 95 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Friday at 12 p.m. at Lebanon Cemetery with Rev. Tony Billions officiating. Burial will be beside his wife Margaret Pauline Gault Ayers. Mr. Ayers passed away Tuesday at Donalson Care Center.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Mary Jane Ayers, was a retired farmer and retired from the Lincoln County Highway Garage. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter Jane Shelton and husband Billy Joe of Fayetteville, two grandchildren Sharon Lynn Shelton of Lakewood, CO and Joe Alan Shelton of Fayetteville, two
great-grandchildren Alex and Matthew Shelton and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Friday from 11 a.m, until 11:30 a.m. at Higgins
Funeral Home.
