John Helton, 47, of Estill Springs passed away on Monday. He is survived by two children, Johnathan and Rachel Helton of Montgomery Village, Maryland. Other survivors are his parents, Asher and Eleanor Helton of Fayetteville, sister Nan (Colin) Wakefield of Fayetteville, Jim (Karen) Helton of Cookeville and Jan (Kip) Davis of Maryville. One nephew, Lane Davis of Maryville, 6 nieces, Mollie, Katie and Bonnie Wakefield of Fayetteville, Erin and Emily Helton of Cookeville and Caroline Davis of Maryville. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fayetteville.

Funeral service will be Friday at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Ward and Rev. Ann Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 1-2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the memorial funds of either First Presbyterian Church or First United Methodist Church.
