Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Jo Lee “Josie” Steelman Armstrong, age 79, of Huntland, TN, will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.

Josie was born on April 29, 1942, in Howell, TN, to the late Rufus Scott and Flora Elaine Eshman Steelman. She was a graduate of Central High School and Draughon’s Business College. Josie was of the Christian Faith. Mrs. Armstrong passed away on April 15, 2022, at Elk River Rehab in Fayetteville, TN.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Armstrong, Keith Armstrong, Karyn Armstrong (Arden James), and Paul Armstrong; brothers, Jim (Shirley F.) Steelman and Wayne (Shirley J.) Steelman; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Armstrong.

Visitation with the family will be at 11 AM until 1 PM Friday at Higgins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lucky’s Cat House and Animal Rehab, P.O. Box 2278, Lewisburg, TN 37091.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Jo Lee Armstrong.
