Funeral services for Jimmy Wade Higgs, age 69 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Friday at 11 AM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Wayne McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Wrights Cemetery. Mr. Higgs passed away Tuesday night in Huntsville Hospital.
He was a native of Giles County, TN and the son of the late James M. and Sybil Holley Higgs. Mr. Higgs was an independent truck driver, construction superintendent and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Norma Thornton Higgs of Fayetteville, daughter Melissa Dorminey and husband Devin of Oxford, NC, son Allan Wade Higgs and wife Teresa of Fayetteville, sister JoAnn Thomas and husband Bobby Joe of Fayetteville, grandchildren, Mikhala Dorminey, Robert Wade Dorminey, AJ Beddingfield, Ryan Kinsey, Piper Higgs and Lilly Higgs.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Lung Association Headquarters, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
