Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Talley, age 77 of Petersburg, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3 PM at the Petersburg United Methodist Church with Bro. Donnie Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Talley passed away Sunday at his residence.
A native of Marshall County, Mr. Talley was a son of the late John Howard and Louise Crawford Talley. He was an Iron Worker with the Local 492 of Nashville, was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Petersburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Betty Lou Jennings Talley, two sons: James “Bo” Talley and wife Cathy, David Talley; two daughters: Lou Ann Watt and husband Doug, Paula Caldiraro and husband Ron, five grandchildren: Christie Louise Caldiraro, Madison Marie Caldiraro, James Brandon Talley, Daniel Howard Talley, and Jennifer Lake Watt, three sisters: Barbara Woodward, Zella Dunivan and Mary Sue Murdock, and one brother: Joe Edward Talley all of Petersburg.
Mr. Talley was preceded in death by one son: William Claude Talley and one brother: John Arthur Talley.
Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home. Mr. Talley will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the Petersburg United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the memorial fund at the Petersburg United Methodist Church.
