Visitation with the family for Jimmy R. Broadway, age 83, of Fayetteville, Tennessee will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 4 until 6 P.M. at Higgins Funeral Home. Jimmy was a native of Lincoln County Tennessee. He was a past member of the Fayetteville Civitan Club and he was a member of Mimosa Church of Christ. Mr. Broadway was a graduate of Vanderbilt University, an Army veteran from the Korean Conflict, and was retired from NASA.
Survivors include his sons Steve and Todd Broadway both of Fayetteville, Tennessee; daughter Rexanna (Tim) Broadway Edwards of Toney, Alabama; grandchildren Jason (Christal) Taylor, David (Kristin) Taylor, Victoria Taylor, Brent Taylor, Lauren Broadway (Andy) Lawson, Whitney Broadway (Greg) Neiss, and Reed Broadway; step-grandchildren Jeremy and Nathan Edwards; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Stephens Broadway; father J.B. Broadway; and mother Louise Armstrong Broadway.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101 or any other charity of your choice.
Rexanna, we are never old enough to loose our parents. May you feel God’s peace at this time.
