Graveside funeral services for Mr. Jimmie Dale Chapman, age 67 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Thursday at 3:00 PM at Melson Cemetery where he will be buried beside his mother. Mr. Chapman passed away Friday March the 18th at the Veteran’s Hospital in Murfreesboro.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late James Cecil and Glendon Melson Chapman. He was a veteran of the US Army, worked in maintenance at Lee Jeans Company and was a member of the Belleville Mt. Hebron Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jerry (Alice) Chapman. He is survived by his sisters Jeanette (Ellis) Johnson and Glenda Dolores (I.B.) Lewis and brother Melson Chapman.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 6-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home. The family requests that donations be made to National Veterans Foundation, 9841 Airport Blvd. Suite 418, Los Angeles, CA 90045.
