Obituary

Funeral service for Jerry Wayne Simms, age 70, of Fayetteville, TN will be held on Sunday, November 14 at 2 pm at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Sonny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from Noon until 2 pm on Sunday at Higgins.

Jerry worked in the paint room and mold setup for Goodman Manufacturing. He was affectionately known as Skunky, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jerry loved his children and grandchildren and spending time with them however he could. Jerry passed away November 11, 2021, at his home.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Noles Simms; daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Mitchell; son, Jason Simms; grandsons, Brice and Braylon Mitchell; brother, Jack (Donna) Simms; and mother-in-law, Martha Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Louise Isaac Howell Simms.
