Funeral services for Mr. Jerry “Slouch” Bolin, age 54, of Taft will be conducted Thursday at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery. Mr. Bolin passed away Tuesday October 14 in Huntsville Hospital.

He was the son of the late Robert Milton and Raffie Franklin Howard and a native of Coffee County.   He was employed at Genesco as a stockman.

He is survived by special companion Bobbie Jean Beard, four sons Jerry Wayne Bolin Jr and wife Tonya of Taft, Robert Howard of Shelbyville, Harold Cannon of Alabama and Richard Powell and wife Samantha of North Carolina, five brothers, James Anderson of Fayetteville, William Bolin of Hazel Green, Gary Howard of Fayetteville, Robert Howard of Fayetteville and Jeff Howard and wife Dianne of Fayetteville, three sisters Peggy Dollar and Sandra Lancaster both of Fayetteville, Tina Claxton and husband Larry of Shelbyville, grandchildren Kelsey and Damien Howard both of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by sister Linda Graham and brother Johnny Howard.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 11AM-2PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
