To all of the Jerry Gatlin family, please accept our most heartfelt sympathies. May GOD bless you and be with you through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May his love live on in your memories and comfort you in the days to come. Jerry was so proud of each of you. He was always showing us pictures and talking of you. Judy and I have known Jerry and Linda since our high school years. We often ran into Jerry at various places where it seem we would talk for hours (you know how Jerry loved to talk). We treasure the friendship we shared. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. We cherish the memories we shared with him over the years and hope to meet again someday.

To the Gatlin Family: Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies at the death of your beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Son. Jerry was a wonderful, Godly man who truly loved people. We enjoyed having in our home to do our floors. He was a talented craftsman who really perfected his work. We so enjoyed our conversations with him. His love for our Lord Jesus was quite evident and we look forward to seeing him again in Heaven!! Gary and Debra Stoykovich

Your son, father, and grandfather, Jerry Gatlin, made a significant impact on my spiritual life along with other facets of my life. Your loss is our loss. He would call me to encourage me to join him in events that made me glad that he called to encourage my attendance. We enjoyed events at his mother’s and his and Linda’s places, who were the perfect host and hostesses. We enjoyed it so much when he’d stop in to visit with us or eat together at Piccadilly or either Gibson’s. I’m sorry that I didn’t take advantage of more of their many invitations to visit that I was “too busy” to accept. I plan to make up for those rejections when we see him in Heaven. We’ve enjoyed knowing all his and Linda’s families.

I knew his Mother, Mrs. Opal Gatlin (Grandma Gatlin, to me) and his sister, Mrs. Carlene Lee, and learned to love this family thru babysitting for Adam, Jodie, Joseph and Justin. Your all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time! No one will ever understand why a child goes before their parent, Mrs. Opal Gatlin, I am sending you hugs! I love and miss you!!
