Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Jeanette Womack Smith, age 86, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow beside her husband Mr. Robbie Earl Smith at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Smith passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at her son’s residence. She was born and raised in Fayetteville, and she was the daughter of the late Charles I. and Maida Foster Womack. She was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 65 years, Robbie E. Smith, and her brothers Charles, Bryan, Fred and Dick Womack, and her sisters Nell Richardson and Marie Henlsey.
Survivors include her son Robert Lex Smith of Taft; daughter Vicky Smith Holt and husband Ernest of Fayetteville; granddaughters Audra Bradford and husband Lanny of Fayetteville; and Jenny Norris of Florida; great-grandchildren Jesse, Lucas and Anna Bradford of Fayetteville, James, Will and Grace Norris of Florida; step-great-grandchildren Jonathan Bradford; and step-great-great-grandchild Katelyn Bradford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and loved her family very much. The family would like to thank Lincoln Medical Home Health and Hospice for their care and concern. Also, the family would like to thank Mrs. Compton, Debbie and Nancy, Dr. Jones, Dr. Cobb and Dr. Holladay. A very special thank you to Dolly who took great care of our loved one.
Visitation with the family will be 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
