Obituary

Jean Volney Agee Graham (June 21, 1924-November 11, 2012), of Taft, Tennessee died at Bailey Manor in Fayetteville. Originally from Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Guy Marshall and Jessie Lee Frakes Agee. She received her education from Middle Tennessee State Teachers’ College and worked for the Agricultural Extension Service as Home Demonstration Agent and later taught Home Economics in public schools. She married the late Frank Edward Graham in 1954 and had five children: Volney Graham (Donna), Helen Graham Bobo (David), Dan Graham, Bob Graham, Barnabas Graham “Barnay,” who all survive. Her grandchildren include Adam, Abby, and Alex Graham; Sydney Bobo Hurst (Jake), Landry and Ivey Bobo; Emily and Ben Graham; Matthew, Lucas, Andrea, and Andrew Graham; and one great-grandchild, Payton Hurst. She was a longtime member of Taft Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Tuesday, November 13, and services on Wednesday, November 14 at 1:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Blanche Cemetery beside her husband.
