Funeral service for Mrs. Jean Sisk Brooks, age 74, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Greg Wiser officiating. Burial will be beside her husband James Clayton “Buddy” Brooks in Stewart’s Cemetery. Mrs. Brooks passed away February 12, 2017 in Huntsville Hospital.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Nannie Sue Sisk, a homemaker and dairy farmer for many years, was a member of Molino Church of Christ for most of her life, and attended Friendship Church of Christ. Loved to cook, garden and sing.
Survivors include her children Amy Wilkerson, Lisa Reese, Ronnie (Jan) Brooks and Eddie (Robbie) Brooks all of Fayetteville; grandchildren Charlie Brooks, Ashley Price, Chelsey (Zachery) Bobo, Morgan (Aaron) Vick, Clayton Wilkerson; Kaila (Jared) Gentry, eight great-grandchildren; sister Patsy (Billy) Gray; and brother Tommy (Becky) Sisk. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her son-in-law Kerry Reese; sister Louise Casey; and brothers Robbie and Allen Sisk.
Visitation with the family will be 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Jean Sisk Brooks.
