Jason Golden, a beloved member of the Lincoln County, Tennessee community, passed away on March 7, 2025. A man of immense warmth, humor, and generosity, Jason touched the lives of countless people through his professional career, passion for the outdoors, and dedication to youth sports.
Born and raised in Lincoln County, Jason attended Martin Methodist College on a baseball scholarship before earning a degree in Business Administration and Management from Middle Tennessee State University. His early career took him across the country as a Utility Data Analyst for UAI Inc. of Huntsville, AL. However, Jason’s heart always belonged to Tennessee, and he soon settled in Fayetteville, where he built a successful career as Vice President at First National Bank. In both his professional and personal life, Jason was known for his integrity, leadership, and unwavering kindness—always ready to lend a helping hand.
An avid outdoorsman, Jason had a deep love for duck hunting and dog training, spending many cherished hours in the fields and waterways of Tennessee. His passion extended to youth sports, where he was a respected and inspiring coach and fan, shaping the lives of many young athletes with his wisdom, patience, and encouragement.
Above all, Jason treasured his family and the land that shaped him—his beloved Golden Hollow. No matter where life took him, his heart always led him back to the place he called home.
He is survived by his children, Luke Golden and Maris Golden; his mother, Angelia Cannon of Flintville, TN; his father, Stan (Lori) Golden of Fayetteville, TN; his sister, April Golden of Flintville, TN; his brother, Ryan Golden of Nashville, TN. He is also remembered by his former wife, Ginny Golden, as well as countless friends, throughout the country. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Tom Cannon for whom he cared for dearly.
Jason Golden’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and community. His impact will be felt for generations to come.
A life celebration will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Tim Smith and Pastor Seth Philbrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Kelso Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until the time of service on Tuesday at the church.

I could go on and on about my relationship with Jason but im too sad to do that. This guy had nothing but good vibes all the time and he loved me so much, I felt like a celebrity around him. We had every class from the 1st grade to the 6th grade together and he literally was my fan and friend at the same time. He didn’t possibly get enough time here but he lived a full life. I will miss him dearly and hoe that I make it to heaven to see him again. I truly loved you like my own brother. forever. Rest in heaven

That beautiful smile and those devilish blue sparkling eyes (in a good way) will live on in his children. We all have our problems and bless his heart, he did too. But it is evident how well loved he was by family and friends. God bless you all thru the coming days.
So sorry to hear of Jason’s passing. My son played ball for him. Jason was great with young kids. Prayers for his family.
Jason was a reflection of the love he was raised with by his wonderful mother, Angie, a source of endless love and patience to everyone lucky enough to know her. My thoughts are with you, Angie and April. Both of you are an inspiration to me.

Jason’s brother Ryan and I were in the same highschool graduating class, 2014. I believe we’ve probably known each other since elementary school, but definitely since middle school. I’d see Jason around for different school things but I was introduced to him at FNB. Anytime I came in the bank, he would always joke around with me… giving me a hard time about anything and everything he could come up with. He’d always make me laugh.
In 2nd Corinthians 5:8 it says that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I hope that may offer a little comfort during this hard time.
I’m praying for you Ryan.. and for the rest of the Golden family as well<3
Stan I am so sorry for your loss Jason was a great guy and will be deeply missed
Jason was so precious to me. He had so much personality that he exhibited at all times and he showed it nthrough that huge, beautiful smile. His family and friends have my deepest sympathy. There will be a big void in our lives. I just thank God that I was able to have a year with him in my classroom. I loved Jason as I do April and Angie. You are in my Heart. You will be in my prayers now and in the future.🙏🙏❤️❤️😘😘
Stan,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I met you at Lincoln Medical Center. I didn’t know Jason was your son. I had the privilege of meeting him a couple of times through my son Cody. He was a very nice man with a contagious smile. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I pray he gives the whole family comfort and strength through this trying time. God be with all of you.
Jason was always such a sweet guy! And I will always remember his smile! I am out of town and won’t be able to come to funeral or help with feeding the family, but my heart is with you Ginny, Lucas and Maris!!
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure, we attended church together and played on the church softball team, such a great guy and father, Friends have footprints in our lives long after they are gone!
It took Jason and I five minutes to become the best of friends and over my lifetime, I’ve never had an easier time connecting with anyone in spite of years between visits and months between chats. He dearly loved his friends and we all love him back. It says something about a person when a five minute chance encounter results in a lifelong friendship. He’s at the top of my list of all who will be missed! RIP Jason..
Goldie never met a stranger. A teammate. A dear friend. A brother.
Jason was one of a kind–so so sweet, never met a stranger, always had a smile on his face. I loved him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
He was always smiling when I saw him
This one surely hurts!! Always such a stand up guy. LCHS Class of 1990.
RIP GOLDEN!! Praying for the family.
Jason was one of the friendliest and most likable fellows in Lincoln County. We have known Jason from his days of hanging out with all his friends at Howell Hill, to being our banker, a customer, and then an employee at Ogle Feed & Farm. Our grandchildren loved Jason, he played with them, helped them with baseball and was just like a family member to all of us. We will always remember your fun loving personality! Rest In Peace dear friend , you will always be dear to this Ogle Family’s hearts.
Remembering all the laughs and good times we had in the past. You’ll sure be missed. R.I.P. my friend.
I forgot to say I loved him very much and my condolences to his family, may the Lord God help you through this very difficult time, and give you the grace, and understanding to cope with your loss, God bless….
Jason was a fantastic young man, he was my younger brothers best friend, I watched him grow up along with my brother they did everything together Jason always had a big smile on his face. I have a memory of meeting up with him one summer day to do something, but he had to feed the cattle at the farm he asked for my help so I did help put feed in the feed troughs, and the cows came to eat except one a bull named Clyde it was the biggest bull I had ever seen the ground shook hen he came to eat I will never forget that RIP Jason ……….
R.I.P. to the friends that never got the chance to grow old with us…
The ones that will remain forever young….!
We are So Sorry. He was A Very Special Person. God Bless Stan, Angie and The Family and Friends with Comfort and Peace in the Days to Come. 🙏❤️🙏
I’m so so sorry.
