Funeral service for Mrs. Janie Brown Patterson age 76 , of Coldwater Community will be conducted Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Derrick Moose officiating. Burial will follow in New Grove Cemetery beside her husband of 56 years, J. D. Patterson who passed away in 2006. Mrs. Patterson passed away Saturday morning at St Thomas Hospital.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Andy and Lydie Snow Brown, a retired employee of Serbin Fashions , and a member of the Coldwater Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Joyce McConnell and husband, Tim of Ardmore, son Tony Patterson and wife Sabrina of Coldwater, and grandchildren: Shannon Patterson, Kyle Patterson, Makisha Dollar and Chad McConnell, great-grandchildren: Kody Patterson, Kayla Patterson, Daniel Patterson, Aaron Patterson, Braxton McConnell, Blaine McConnell and Cheney Jo Dollar and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The Patterson family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
