It is with regret we announce the passing of Ms. Jane Walton, age 63, of Fayetteville, TN. Jane was born on May 16, 1957 in Tampa, FL to the late Thomas Peyton and Marie Montgomery Walton. Ms. Walton passed away on November 23, 2020 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Jane was a 1975 graduate of Central High School in Fayetteville. She was voted class favorite at Central High in 1973 and was beautiful inside and out. Jane was a loving person and her personality brought smiles to everyone’s face. Ms. Walton was of the Southern Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Anna Marie Strong of Los Alamos, NM; a brother, Tom Walton and fiancé, Debbie Bower of Murfreesboro, TN; and a granddaughter, Adeline Marie Throneberry. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Montgomery McMillan.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Dr. Jon Hathcock and Tom Walton will officiate. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Tom we are so sorry to hear about Jane. She was a beautiful ray of sunshine and everyone in the Howell Community loved her. I can still see her driving that VW “Bug” and popping wheelies when she let the clutch out too fast – she would just let out a big laugh and keep going. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.
So sorry to hear about Jane passing. She was always a bright light to all of us in High School. My prayers are with her daughter and family.

Jane was a huge inspiration to me in high school, and I fondly think of her often. I am very sad that her beautiful smile is no longer here with us but her sweet, beautiful spirit has always been with me and will continue to be. My heartfelt sympathy to Jane’s family.
