Obituary

Graveside service for Mrs. Jane Ellen Spray, age 65, of Fayetteville, TN, formerly of Nashville, TN, will be conducted Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, TN. Mrs. Spray passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Huntsville Hospital.

Mrs. Spray was a native of Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late George Thomas and Evelyn Genevieve Pollock White. She worked for Comdata as a customer service representative, was a 1969 graduate of Glen Cliff High School and was a member of the Judson Baptist Church and Brentwood Baptist Church. She was also a singer and songwriter for the country music industry. Mrs. Spray sang as a guest of Porter Waggoner at the Grand Ole Opry with her sister Janet.

Survivors include her husband Don Spray of Fayetteville, TN, son Brandon Spray of Fayetteville, TN, daughter Whitney Cargo and husband James of College Grove, TN, granddaughters Sutton Cargo, Londyn Cargo both of College Grove, TN, twin sister Janet Demmans and husband Ron of Franklin, TN, brother Randy White and wife Pam of Spring Hill, TN, father and mother-in-law Joyce and Barbara Spray of Fayetteville, TN.

Visitation with the family will be at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church on College Grove, TN on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 11 until 1 p.m.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to assist the family of Mrs. Jane Ellen Spray.

    My sincere Sympathy to Whitney and James Cargo. I worked with James at Comdata and met Jane there. Whitney is a beautiful woman inside and out. I know she is that way because of the way Jane raised her. Prayers and thoughts are with the family in this time of grief.
