The family of James Tony Patterson, age 72, of Fayetteville, TN, will host a memorial service at 2 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Coldwater Community Church with Rev. Alan Shedd and Bro. Houston Welch officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until 2 PM on Saturday at the Coldwater Community Church (618 Old Railroad Bed Road, Fayetteville, Tennessee 37334). Private burial will take place at Prosperity Cemetery at a later date.
Tony was born on May 21, 1951, in Lincoln County, TN to the late JD Patterson and Janie Brown Patterson. He was a man of unwavering faith, holding firmly to his Christian Faith throughout his life. Tony’s vibrant spirit and zest for life were evident to all who knew him. Tony embraced every moment, living life to the fullest and loving his family with his whole heart. He found joy in simple pleasures, from dove hunting and fishing to deer hunting adventures. Tony’s playful spirit shone brightly through his love for being a prankster, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. He was the heart and soul of every gathering, known for hosting lively cookouts where he effortlessly assumed the role of the life of the party. On April 6, 2024, Tony passed away at Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 50 years, Sabrina Jones Patterson; sons, Shannon Patterson (Sandra Wilson) and Kyle Patterson (Cathy); grandchildren, Kody, Kayla, Daniel, and Aaron Patterson; great-grandson, Camden Patterson; sister, Joyce (Tim) McConnell; niece, Makisha Dollar; and nephew, Chad (Brittany) McConnell.

I didn’t know Tony that well but my husband did (Jerry Beddingfield). He was such a nice man. I never heard him say a harsh word. May God bless y’all with peace knowing he isn’t going through anymore pain.
