I have known Jim for about forty years and all my memories of him are of the very best, as a christian, father, husband , and a skilled worker in every endeavor he undertook for the betterment of the Fayetteville/Lincoln county community, paticularly for the young people. His family can take comfort in the memorials lifted on their behalf because of the life he lived.

    To the Shaddy family,
My heart is so sadden at this time of learning about the loss of a precious man. I feel so honored to have know Mr, Jimmy (as I knew him from the Electric system days). I’m so glad Jane has forgiven the person and I know how she feels because I did the same when Daddy was killed and people could not understand.
I can only imagine what Mr. Jimmy and Daddy are doing right now. LOL
May God give you peace during this troubled time and let the memeories of Mr. Jimmy carry you on. God be with you Pat, Mark, Mike, Jane, and Janet, and the grandchildren. I know he loved you all.

Jim Shaddy was a great father, grand-father, and husband. It was my pleasure to first meet Jim shortly after my wife Patricia, myself and our family became members at Prospect Baptist Church. We first met Jane and Mike Osgood and their children Eli and Grace. Since our second and third children were the same ages as Eli and Grace, we quickly formed a bond.

Mike; Janes husband, got me started in the local Marine Corps League where Jim was an avid member. Jim always seemed to be smiling even when he was serious. Working side by side with Jim at the Marine Corps Ham Breakfast was always a highlight of that event. He loved his family so much.

One did not have to be around Jim very long to see how he encouraged his grandkids to be the best that they could be. We love Jim and want him here today. Jim was a courageous man who served his GOD, his family, and his country with distinction. I am reminded that Jesus said “In this world you will have trouble…” Jim is home where sin and trouble can not enter in. May GOD Bless the Osgood family, the members of the church where Jim and his wife attended, and many friends who are in pain this very moment.

    In Sympathy,

Charlie, Patricia, Josh, Miriam, and Rebekah Davis

So sorry to hear the loss of your loved one. I know your heart is broken, and I am so sorry. I wish I could take the pain away, but only God and time will help ease the pain. The hole in your heart will always be there, but it will get a little easier to deal with in time.

I pray that God will put His loving arms around you all in this very difficult time, and will comfort you.

God bless you all. You will be in my prayers.
